

Out of the two, DiRT Rally is the better game however, it is a pure racing sim and a difficult one at that. If asked to select the best of the best, DiRT Rally and DiRT 4are difficult to beat. The service does lack some heavy hitters, and a Sony subscription service without Gran Turismo feels incomplete, but there are enough good titles to keep racing fans happy. Valkyria Chronicles Remastered takes place in a world torn by war, putting players in charge of a unit as they take part in tactical warfare. The more people who get to experience this franchise, the better. The PS4 remaster doesn't do too much beyond improving the resolution and performance, however, that is enough to justify this title's existence. The Yakuza series has blossomed into one of gaming's most consistent treasures, while Valkyria Chronicles is at least a contender for the most underexposed JRPG of the PS3 era. Sega might be out of the console business but the company has published some fantastic games over the last few decades. Rogue Galaxy is also quite difficult and anyone who tries to button-mash their way through the campaign will quickly find themselves facing defeat. The weapon system offers a great deal of variety, while there are also abilities to spice things up. The real-time battle system blends immediately enjoyable hack and slash combat with strategic elements courtesy of a gauge that determines how many attacks someone can execute consecutively.

Offering a lengthy campaign with a main story that should last roughly 40 hours, Level-5's JRPG comes packed with content, and most of it is of high quality. Rogue Galaxy is a fantastic action RPG that came out a bit too late in the PS2's lifespan to make an impact, debuting in 2007 in North America. The PS2 on PS4 movement might not have produced re-releases of the console's most iconic JRPGs like Dragon Quest 8, Final Fantasy 10, or Persona 3, but it did shine a light on some of the genre's more underappreciated titles.
